The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) has apprehended 74 alleged internet fraudsters in a targeted operation at Joyous Hotel, Nyanya, Abuja.
The arrest, which took place on Monday, June 30, 2025, followed actionable intelligence linking the suspects to cybercrime activities.
During the raid, ECC operatives recovered 86 mobile phones, a rifle pistol, and three motorcycle as part of the evidence.
In a statement, EFC spokesperson Dele Oyewole confirmed the arrest, stating that the suspects would be arraigned in court after investigations are concluded.
“The suspects were arrested following credible intelligence on their involvement in internet-related offenses. They will face prosecution soon,” Oyewale said.
The operation underscores the EFCC’s continued crackdown on
cybercrime in Nigeria.
