Victor Osimhen marked his return from AFCON duty by scoring his 50th goal for Galatasaray, helping secure a 3-1 away win over Fatih Karagumruk in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.
The Nigerian striker, making his first club start since leading Nigeria to a bronze medal at AFCON 2025, netted in the 55th minute off an assist from İlkay Gündoğan. Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara scored the other two goals.
Osimhen’s milestone strike was his seventh league goal this season, bringing his total to an impressive 50 competitive goals in just 59 appearances for the Istanbul giants. The victory maintains Galatasaray’s four-point lead at the top of the table over rivals Fenerbahçe.
In other action, fellow Nigerian Paul Onuachu scored his 12th league goal for Trabzonspor in a 2-1 win over Kasımpaşa.
